A thirty-two year old fisherman and a twenty-three year old woman who is said to be unemployed have been charged with the murder of overseas based Guyanese Hemraj Paradesi called Prem.
The two, Mario Bissoondyal called Mayo and Malisha Dutchin appeared in the New Amsterdam Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Renita Singh where they were not required to plea to the indictable offence of murder.
Dutchin lived at 4 Reliance Settlement Canje while Bissoondyal’s address was given as Cumberland, East Canje. The two are accused of killing Paradesi at his 9 Reliance Settlement, East Canje, Berbice home on August 3.
Bissoondyal and Dutchin will return to court September 9, 2021. The matter has been transferred to the Reliance Magistrates’ Court for report.
