Nurse Patricia is home again to do her part in the fight against the COVID Pandemic and Gender Based Violence.

This is the Guyanese born American Nurse who inoculated US Vice President Kamala Harris with her first COVID 19 Vaccine and has since been featured in several magazines and talk programs as she educates the masses on the above mentioned subject.
She expects to be making rounds to encourage and provide factual information in an effort to remove fears and myths about vaccination.
Nurse Patricia arrived this morning at CJIA for this humanitarian drive where she has teamed up with United Bridge Builders Mission to provide these services.
While her visit is in a personal capacity, she hopes to travel the length and breadth of Guyana with her message in support of best practices to minimize the spread of this disease, as well as add her weight to the fight against Gender Based Violence.
An energetic Nurse hits the ground running.

Projected water restoration time now 10hrs, says GWI

Water restoration in the city will now be on at 10hrs today according to the Guyana Water Incorporated.

The company in a press statement last night said water should have been back at 3hrs today but due to major difficulties experience at the worksite necessitated the extension.

The water company said the disruption was a result of planned works which commenced on July to facilitate what a termed a major interconnection at the junction of the Vlissengen Road and the Lamaha Embankment.

However, water will be supplied to key institutions such as Hospitals. Further the company has urged that institutions in need of water supply should contact its Regional Manager, Curtis Niles on cell number 620-4813.
