By Melissa Khan – A father of five is fighting for his life after he was brutally chopped about his body by his neighbor on Tuesday, according to his daughter.
Ramkissoon Sukhra, 48, a market vendor of Lot 127 Williamsburg Corentyne Berbice, was chopped by a meter Technician attached to the Guyana Power & Light company during a heated argument.
The man’s wife Maylene Harrinarina explained that minutes before the crime took place the perpetrator was verbally assaulting and threatening them.
She added that her husband then went to close their gate when the man pounced on him.
The man was taken to the hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The family is calling for justice and a thorough investigation by police.
The suspect was arrested as police investigation continues.
