A woman is in police custody following the discovery of suspected cocaine at a Corentyne home.

The police in a release said the substance was found at a home in Princetown, Corentyne where the ranks went to execute a search for stolen articles, arms, ammunition, narcotics and a wanted person.

Subsequently, five parcels of a whitish rock-like substance suspected to be cocaine was found.

A woman found at the house was told of the offence and taken into custody. The substance was weighed and amounted to 21 grams.
