“Teach your children to be contented and to deter from certain things”, said Massiah. He said two things God has given to us “Time and Opportunity”. The senior pastor of the First Assembly of God Church said “Young people want to achieve things faster and we are living almost, in what he describes as a disposable time. According to Massiah, the Power of Choice remains in the preservation of the individual, who cannot be raised in an environment without the influence of God and then be expected to make the right choices.

  1. Parents born in the 50s,60s and 70s were brought up on strong family values, social and spiritual morals. However, some of us failed our kids by deviating and not instilling in our children what we were taught.Hence, the decay of the family structure and society at large.Last Tuesday is a learning lesson for families, communities and their leaders. The churches are not exempted.Get out from your buildings knock on doors.A smile an encouraging word can be a deterrent. Let us all do our part as one teach one.Going forward we will be our neighbour’s keeper. God bless you pastor . Discussing this issue is a beginning. I think there is an urgent need for all heads of churches to meet and discuss this issue .

  2. Children are not always a reflection of their parents. Society, drugs, greed, the love of money can influence the best of people’s children. Also please don’t forget the grown children have a mind of their own. May he rest in peace. All that for nothing no money even taken. Lesson here think before you act. Also things are not always what they seem to be.Pray for your families. Those of you who live in glass houses please don’t throw stones. Those things can rebound and break your own glasses.

  3. The best thing you can do for your children is to keep them as far away from the Pastor as possible.
