BV vendor killed during a robbery

Dead is Claymont Tellisford.
The man operated a shop in front of his Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara home.
The incident occurred just after 1 am this morning when the man and his reputed wife,  were closing their business.
Shundel Emmanuel recalled the bandits pounced on her; placed a gun in her mouth and walked her inside their home.
She was beaten by the bandits who were demanding cash and jewellery.
While she was being beaten and interrogated inside her home, the bandits were doing the same to her husband who was outside.
 She said the bandits took his jewellery, the days sales and a quantity of phone cards.
She was tied up by the bandits who then made good their escape. She managed to untie herself and came outside in search of her husband whose motionless body she discovered in a pool of blood.
He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. The police are probing the incident.
