Crystal Meth and Ecstasy pills bust: CANU arrest suspect
According to the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) the suspect Collis Steve Burrowes of Norton Street Georgetown was an incoming passenger from Suriname when he was searched by a CANU Rank.

It was during a search which took place at the BackTrack Golden Gloves Speed Boast Service at Springlands Corentyne Berbice on Friday, December 6th that CANU ranks uncovered 254 grams of suspected Crystal Meth and 56 grams (100) of Suspected Ecstasy pills.
The items were found in the suspect’s clothing in a haversack he was carrying.
The suspect remains in custody as the probe continues.
CANU busts over 68 pounds of Marijuana found in car at De Willem, West Coast Demerara
One person is now in custody and three others on the run after CANU intercepted a motor car with 30.902 kilograms of suspected marijuana during a chase on the West Coast of Demerara.
The drug bust took place on Thursday evening December 5th according to CANU and the Cannabis was found in a car.
The Marijuana was intercepted at De Willem Village West Coast Demerara.

A suspect who has been identified as Azim Ali called “boyo” age 30 of 27 Zeeburg West Coast Demerara is in custody.
CANU officers said Ali was the driver of motor car PPP 7790 along with three other known suspects who were transporting the suspected cannabis. The men were chased by CANU ranks and the car was eventually intercepted by CANU at De Willem Village where the drug was discovered. CANU is still in search of the other three suspects.
