Princess Hotel general manager wanted by police in Guyana
The Turkish nation, Ugur Turetgen is wanted by the police in Guyana for questioning concerning Fraud and Immigration Violation.

Turetgen is Caucasian and the General Manager of the Ramada Princess Hotel in Georgetown. According to reports, Turetgen is wanted by the Turkish Government for crimes committed in his homeland. It was his government who wrote to Guyanese authorities seeking the extradition of the 44-year-old man.
His last known address is Track ‘b’ Block ‘z’ Providence, East Bank Demerara.

Teen charged with vagrant’s murder
By Farah Bates – Nineteen-year-old Dave Jacobs was on Wednesday charged with the murder of Lochan Persaud Kamaldeo, the vagrant who was stabbed to death on January 03rd at #79 Village, Berbice.

The suspect appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at the #51 Magistrates’ Court where the indictable charge was read to him.
It is alleged that the men were involved in an argument over a vacant stand along the roadside that Kamaldeo sleeps on. During the argument, Jacobs reportedly whipped out a sharp object and stabbed the victim to his left side chest. The man later succumbed to his injuries.
Jacobs, formerly of Linden, usually does handy work for persons around the Skeldon area.
He was remanded to prison until February 20th and the matter was transferred to the Springlands Magistrates’ court.
