Gym instructor charged for wounding his reputed wife with a knife, released on $50,000 bail. Darius Ramsammy appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Wednesday in the Georgetown Magistrates’ court and was charged with wounding his reputed wife with a knife. Ramsammy, a 32-year-old gym instructor, denied the charged and was released on $50,000 bail. It is alleged that on June 16th at Castello Housing Scheme, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded his reputed wife, Danita Bobb. His attorney, Everton Lammy-Singh told the court during an application for bail, that his client acted in self-defence. Police Prosecutor Simone Payne did not object to bail, but told the court that Bobb was stabbed with a knife to the right side of her chest by the defendant during an argument. Magistrate Azore released Ramsammy on $50,000 bail and adjourned the matter until July 18th.
